What happens when you send it
Your question is saved and emailed to the person who runs StudentLoan.help, who reads it and replies by email. It isn't passed to a planner, a lender, a refinance company or anyone else, and nobody will call you.
The reply is general information: which rule applies, what the calculator assumed, what to ask your servicer, which form to file. It isn't financial, tax or legal advice, and we can't enroll you in a plan, file anything or look at your account.
Applying is free
You never have to pay anyone to apply for a federal repayment plan, consolidation, rehabilitation or PSLF. You can do all of it free at StudentAid.gov or through your servicer. StudentLoan.help charges nothing either.
A company that sells student loan "debt relief" over the phone can't legally take a fee before it has actually changed your debt (the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule, 16 CFR 310.4(a)(5)). If someone asks for money up front, read how to spot a relief scam.
StudentLoan.help is independent. It is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid or any loan servicer.
